  • Reviewing access privileges regularly

  • Immediately modifying credentials when an employee’s responsibilities change

  • Requiring additional authentication for highly sensitive areas

  • Connecting physical and logical identity management systems

The goal is not to make a workplace feel restrictive. The goal is to ensure that access is intentional, appropriate, and aligned with current responsibilities.

Responsible AI Requires Governance

AI-enabled security technology introduces important questions regarding privacy, data retention, transparency, bias, and system accuracy. Organizations should establish clear policies before deploying advanced analytics.

A responsible AI security program should address:

  • What information is being collected

  • Why the information is necessary

  • Who can access it

  • How long it will be retained

  • How alerts will be verified

  • How false positives will be managed

  • How employee, visitor, and public privacy will be protected

Technology should support an organization’s mission and risk profile—not create unnecessary operational or reputational risk.

The Future of Security Is Human-Centered

The strongest security systems are not necessarily the systems with the greatest number of devices. They are the systems that are easy to understand, appropriately integrated, and aligned with the people who use the facility every day.
